Hi there! My name is Thea and I am a female border collie about one year old. I am spayed and vaccinated and ready for my new home.
I came from a home with adults, young children and my best friend, a cat named Tyler. I would really like to find a home where Tyler the cat and I could be together. (You can see a picture of us together in the photo slideshow above.)
Right now I am staying in a wonderful foster home with two men and I am fearful of strangers entering the house or approaching me because I haven't had much socialization or been shown much patience in life. However, I am learning to trust my foster family and their very slow introductions to new people, places and noises.
I am learning to walk on a leash, know a few commands and am house trained by learning to use the doggie door. I love the freedom of being loose in my foster home, but do put myself to bed at night in my wire crate.
I really like riding in a car and would make a wonderful adventure companion. Please consider adopting both me and my feline brother, Tyler. We've been together since we were very little and would feel much better about this transition if we could do it together.
If you would like to be considered for adoption, please submit an application and a volunteer will be in touch. For more information about Thea contact Carmen at 541-519-4530 or Best Friends of Baker City at 541-519-7387.
Please understand we are an all-volunteer organization and we make every effort to return inquiries as soon as possible. Thank you.
