Juno is an approximately 7 year old border collie. Juno came into foster care with us because she killed some chickens at the home she has lived at since she was a baby puppy. She's great with people, including older children, and good with other dogs, but no chickens for this girl. She is also said to be okay with cats that don't run.
Juno's previous owner did not allow her in the house and said she was a fence jumper, but in her foster home where she is indoors most of the time, she has not shown any inclination to jump the 4 foot fence and escape. She loves being indoors with her people.
Juno can be a little bossy with other dogs so would be best in a household where the existing dogs don't mind this behavior.
Juno loves to play fetch and run in the sprinklers. She weighs 46 pounds and has a beautiful coat that will require regular brushing. She accepts being crated, but isn't a fan. She goes in willingly for a treat or her meal. She rides well in her foster mom's vehicle in her crate. She is a quiet dog and rarely barks at her foster home.
This girl is very affectionate with her people and loves being by your side. Her previous owners said she was not housetrained, but she's doing really well in her foster home and does let you know when she needs to go out.
We know some people do not like a dog that licks. Juno does lick her foster family from time to time, but will stop when asked to.
