Honey is a stunning young adult (2 yo) Aussie/border collie mix. She has lived most of her life in an outdoor kennel with her sister, Gypsy, so she'll need someone with patience that can teach her the ropes of being an indoor family dog.
Honey is the more reserved and nervous of the two, but once she warms up she is very loving. She will also need regular grooming for that gorgeous coat, and lots of activity to keep her occupied.
She is vaccinated but not currently spayed, so we will need to arrange her surgery prior to sending her to her forever home. We will require a secure, fenced yard and give preference to adopters with herding breed experience.
Honey and Gypsy are being surrendered because their owners are older and disabled and taking care of three dogs is too much for them. They would really like to see Honey and Gypsy adopted together, so we will give preference to anyone willing to adopt both.
Honey and Gypsy have some experience with kids and strangers, but will need a lot more socializing to become good canine citizens. They do not have experience with indoor cats or dogs outside of their small pack. We do not think they'd do well in an urban or busy suburban setting.
