Oh, the fun I've had with you
Through youthful romp and graying age,
And when I read this book of life
I would not change a page.
Your ups and downs I've gladly shared
And staunchly by your side I've stood,
Being there in darkest moments,
Happy when your times were good.
You know that I am growing old,
My bones are cold, my joints are sore.
Soon it will be time for me
To wander through that final door.
Do not weep for me dear friend,
All things of earth in time must go,
And when, at last, you think of me,
Remember how I loved you so.
